Jill Santoro - Gym Owner and Manager, Competitive Team Head Coach and Recreational Instructor

Jill is a USAG Professional member, is Safety Certified and has a competed Background Check and U100. Before opening X-treme Gymnastics, Jill coached at several local gyms, lead the gymnastics program at the Brook Park Recreational Center and was the Head Coach of the Southland YWCA Gymnastics team until they were forced to shut their doors. With a team by her side and her goal of having her own business, Jill opened X-treme Gymnastics with her husband and four daughters in August of 2003.  

Mario Santoro - Gym Owner and Manager

Mario is the man behind the scenes that keeps the gym maintained and up and running. He opened X-treme Gymnastics with his wife, Jill, and four daughters in August of 2003.

Michelle Santoro - Gym Manager, Competitive Team Instructor

Michelle is a USAG Professional Member, is Safety Certified and has a completed Background Check and U100. She has been working at X-treme Gymnastics since August of 2003. She graduated from The University of Akron with a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandising and Consumer Marketing in August 2011. She, too, has goals of carrying on the family business.

Valerie Santoro - Gym Manager, Competitive Team Head Coach, TOPS Instructor

Valerie is a USAG Professional Member, is Safety Certified and has a completed background check and U100. She is also American Red Cross CPR certified. She was a gymnast for X-treme and then went onto coaching (including routine choreography), which she has been doing since 2003.  Also, she is a former cheerleader and dance team member. Valerie is currently the Head Coach of the Berea-Midpark High School and North Olmsted High School Gymnastics Teams and coaches individuals from Bay HS and Midview HS.  She is highly motivated in carrying on the family business.

Jennifer Santoro - Competitive Team, Pre Team, and Recreational Instructor

Jennifer is a senior at Berea-Midpark High School as well as the Polaris Career Institute studying Interactive Multimedia. She was a previous member of the X-treme Gymnastics Competitive Team as well as the Berea-Midpark High School gymnastics team.


Jennifer is a USAG Professional Member, Safety and Risk Management Certified and has a completed Background Check and U100.

Geneva (Genie) Thome  - Competitive Team Instructor

Genie is originally from Columbus, Ohio. Before joining with X-treme Gymnastics in January 2012, she owned Thome Gymnastics for 34 years and worked as a receptionist for an additional 10 years. As a former gymnast herself, Genie was a member of the Swiss Turners Competitive Team. Her favorite thing about coaching is working with the children. Outside of the gym she enjoys furthering her education and continuity in coaching and judging. Genie would like tell all her students to work hard and dream big, because anything can be accomplished through hard work!


Genie is a USA Women's Gymnastics Judge, USAG Professional Member, Safety and Risk Management Certified, CPR & First Aid Certified and has a completed Background Check and U100.

Corrine Williams - Competitive Team and TOPS Instructor

Corrine is originally from Newark, Delaware. A gymnast herself for a total of 19 years, Corrine trained with Diamond Gymnastics in New Castle, Delaware from 1993 to 2006 where she earned her Level 10 status. From 2006 to 2008 she trained at First State Gymnastics where she continued to compete Level 10. Upon graduating High School, Corrine moved to Philadelphia, PA to attend Temple University where she was a member of their NCAA Women's Gymnastics Team from 2008 to 2012. Academically, Corrine earned her Bachelor's degree in Biological Anthropology and Certificate in French from Temple University. While attending college, Corrine continued to coach at First State Gymnastics from 2007 to 2013. 


Corrine moved to Ohio and joined with X-treme Gymnastics in April 2014. Currently, she is a pre-dental post baccalaureate student at Cleveland State University. She is also doing some work in film as a stunt woman and featured extra. Her favorite thing about gymnastics is that it tests the limits of human performance. She enjoys inspiring others to go faster, push harder, and be stronger in an effort to become better versions of themselves in the gym and in every other aspect of their lives. Away from the gym, Corrine enjoys exercizing, studying, exploring the city, cooking, taking naps and watching her favorite television shows. She would like to leave her students with an inspirational quote from Muhammad Ali, who admitted to hating having to train. "Suffer now and live the rest of your life as a champion." - Muhammad Ali

Deanna Eschenauer - Competitive Team and Recreational Instructor

Deanna is from Strongsville, Ohio. A former gymnast herself, Deanna started gymnastics when she was six years old where she trained under Jill at the local YWCA. When X-treme Gymnastics opened in 2003 Deanna continued to compete and went onto becoming a member of the Strongsville High School's Women's Gymnastics Team from 2004-2008. During this time, Deanna also became a coach for X-treme Gymnastics and has been on our staff ever since. She graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Middle Childhood Education and is currently employed in the North Ridgeville school district.

Janell Sanchez - Competitive Team and Recreational Instructor

Janell is a USAG Certified Instructor.  She was a member of our Competitive Team from 2003-2007. She was a member of Midpark High Schools' cheerleading squad and gymnastics team.  Janell graduated from Midpark in 2011.

Callie Jedrzejek - Competitive Team and TOPS Instructor

Lucy Buckholtz - Competitive Team and Recreational Instructor

Lucy is a USAG member.  She is a senior at Berea-Midpark High School where she is a member of their gymnastics, track and field, and cheer and competition cheerleading teams.  

Shelby Marken - Competitive Team and Recreational Instructor

Shelby is a USAG member. She has been a member of our competitive team since 2004 and is currently a Level 8. She is a senior at Berea-Midpark High School where she is a crucial a member of their gymnastics, track and field, cheer and competition cheerleading teams. Some of Shelby's individual gymnastics accomplishments include:

2014 - USAG Level 8 1st Place State Champion on Floor (9.575), Vault (9.4), and Beam (9.025), USAG Level 8 Regional Qualifier, OHSAA Sectional Tournament (placed 4th on Floor), OHSAA District Tournament Qualifier (placed 15th on Floor), OHSAA State Tournament Qualifier

Julia Koetter - Competitive Team and Recreational Instructor

Julia is a USAG member. She was a member of our Competitive Team from 2003-2014. She graduated from North Royalton High School where she was a member of their gymnastics team as well. Currently, she is attending the The Notre Dame University. 
Some of Julia's individual gymnastics accomplishments include:

2014 - USAG Level 8 1st Place State Champion on Beam (8.95), USAG Level 8 Regional Qualifier, OHSAA Sectional Tournament (placed 5th on Beam), OHSAA District Tournament Qualifier

2013 - OHSAA Sectional Tournament (placed 10th on Beam), OHSAA District Tournament Qualifier (placed 10th on Beam) and received "All-District" honors, OHSAA State Tournament Qualifier (placed 16th on Beam)

2012 - USAG 3rd Place Champion on Floor (9.3) and Vault (9.15)

Melissa Santoro - Recreational Junior Instructor

Melissa is a USAG member.  She has been a member of our competitive team since 2003 and is currently competing in Level 8. She has been doing gymnastics since she was 2 years old and has been competing since the age of 4.
